Chocolate is a food product that is made from roasted and ground cacao pods. Chocolate can contain a huge range of health benefits such as being a powerful source of antioxidants, helping to improve blood flow and lowering blood pressure, it has also been suggested to help lower the risk of heart disease developing. It is produced all over the world has has three distinct types:
Dark Chocolates: Are regarded as the healthiest type of chocolate due to his high anti inflammatory properties. It has a deep dark brown colour and is often refered to as black chocolate. It can often carry a more bitter flavour to other chocolates.
Milk Chocolates: Is the most commonly consumed of the three, it has a light brown colouration made from cocoa solids and cocoa butter with milk and sugar.
White Chocolates: Is made by combining sugar, cocoa butter, milk, vanilla and lecithin. It is very easily distinguished from other chocolates thanks to its creamy, ivory like colour.
